COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Twenty teachers in the Muscogee County School District could be let go if the proposed 2014 budget and reduction in force is approved by board members.

That includes six elementary, five middle, and nine high school teaching jobs.

Custodial positions and about 17 other staff positions in the district could be cut as well.

The final budget proposal is expected to be voted on at a meeting Monday night at 6 p.m.

Administrators are proposing the district manages with a $250 million budget.

The board will also vote on renewing John Phillip's contract as interim superintendent for another year.
