CONLEY, GA -

When a 9-year-old boy in Georgia saw that his little sister was in danger, he sprung into action to save her.

Ashley Brown says she was out with her children when she stopped at a home on Green Willow Way to make a quick visit.

"I was in there for two seconds," said Ashley."Then, my son comes running, 'Mommy, mommy, mommy.'"

Ashley says her 9-year-old son Brannon came running to tell her someone had stolen their car, with his 5-year-old sister still inside.

"He came running up, jumped in the car and put it in reverse and tried to back up and I shoved it back into park," said Brannon.

Brannon said at that point, he tried to grab his little sister and get her out of the car, but the thief had taken off with her in it.

"She was in the car, and they took off with the car, and basically they dropped her off somewhere and the police found her," Ashley said.

The girl was let off several miles away off Jonesboro Road near a saloon. The family says they're so thankful to be reunited. Brannon fought back tears as he told us why he was willing to take such a risk.

"The only reason I did it was because of my sister," Brannon said.

Police are still looking for the person who stole the car. Neither Brannon nor his little sister was seriously injured.
