Vehicle found; hunt for violent suspect accused of pulling gun on 2 continues

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Police Department says it has recovered the vehicle linked to a man the department and Central Alabama CrimeStoppers are urging the public to be on the lookout for.

The suspect, 31-year-old Carlos Montez Jones, was last seen in a 2006 gray Cadillac CTS. That vehicle was found at an apartment complex off Virginia Loop Road Wednesday. Jones was not found.

Police say Jones is violent and should not be approached. He's accused of pulling a gun on two people Tuesday. The victims say Jones then threatened to kill them.

Authorities say Jones is currently on probation for assault in the 2nd degree. He's now wanted on domestic violence harassment, menacing and probation revocation.

If you see Jones, do not approach him. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

If you know Jones' whereabouts, you are asked to call police immediately. You can also call CrimeStoppers anonymously at 215-STOP.

Tips that lead to Jones' capture may be eligible for a cash reward.

Additional details surrounding the case against Jones were not immediately made available.
