Alex City deaths ruled murder-suicide

ALEXANDER CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Alexander City Police have come to a conclusion about what happened to the two found dead in their Worthy St. Home last week. Windy Zarrable, 32, and Nerberto Torres, 32, were found dead in their bedroom. Police believe their deaths were a murder-suicide.

It is believed that Zarrable wanted to end their relationship and ordered Torres to move out. But that request turned deadly.

"When she returned home that evening he was still at the residence. She was shot once in the head and once in the chest, he was shot one time in the chest," says Cpl. Michael Howell.

There was no reported history of violence or restraining order between the two, and it seemed his decision to end it all with a .22 pistol came out of nowhere.

The biggest problem that investigators faced was identifying the gunman because he was an illegal immigrant.

The couple had no children together and both worked in the manufacturing industry around Alex City.
