NAACP convention will be hosted in Columbus this fall

COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus has beaten out two other cities in Georgia to host this year's state NAACP conference.

The conference will be held from October 3rd to the 6th, but the exact location has yet to be decided. The 71st annual Georgia State Conference and Convention and Civil Rights Conference will focus on five game changers, including the economy, education, public safety, voting rights, and health.

President Edward Dubost has also announced that he will not be seeking reelection as the Georgia State NAACP President.
