$1 million bond set for Chambers County murder suspect

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -

A Chambers County judge has set bond for a man accused of murder.

Investigators say Kason King has been given a bond of $1 million. King is accused of fatally shooting Jarrad Smith back on June 9.

Police say the shooting happened while Smith was in the shower with King's ex-girlfriend.

King also faces assault and kidnapping charges after investigators say he forced his ex-girlfriend to drive him to his car after the shooting, while threatening to kill her before she could escape.
