ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Panthers swept the season series against the Columbus Lions with a win last Saturday, and that wasn't the only sweep of the game.

The PIFL announced that all winners of the league's Week 16 Player of the Week awards were Albany Panthers.

Panthers' WR Johnny Lester snagged four touchdown receptions to earn Offensive Player of the Week award.

Lester had a game-high 10 receptions for 132 yards. He closes out the season as the team leader in receptions with 64 after only playing eight games.

The Panthers' defense have owned the Lions in the second half the last two games of the series. They shut out Columbus two weeks ago, and held them to only seven points Saturday.

LB Larry Edwards was a major part of that domination, snagging 1.5 sacks in the second half Saturday.

His performance was good enough to earn him PIFL Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Panthers' K Ryan Gates scored 11 points for Albany, earning Special Teams Player of the Week.

The Panthers travel to Huntsville Monday to take on the league's one seed Alabama Hammers in the first round of the playoffs. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m.
