COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Rap lyrics, alcohol, and women all played a role in the death of a Phenix City teen, according to prosecutors.

It's day three of the Ron Blair murder trial. Blair is accused of shooting 19-year-old Keon Coleman.

We have been inside the courtroom all day.

Joseph Coleman, the man accused of singing the derogatory rap lyrics that caused the entire confrontation, took the witness stand Wednesday to tell his side of the story.

Joseph – who's not related to the victim – says he got down from the bench and walked over to the victim with the defendant Ron Blair behind him.

Joseph testified he saw Blair shoot the victim then take off running. He says the only reason he was downtown that night was to try to pick up women.
