There are several things to do in the Chattahoochee Valley during the weekend before Independence Day.

On Friday, June 28, the beach at Callaway Gardens will have great food, drink specials, beach activities and a Flying High Circus. Activities begin at 4 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

Saturday is a big day for Fort Benning as they host their Independence Celebration. The event is free and open to the public. Along with inflatables for the kids, live music Kia give-a-way, and many other festivities, the 34-foot Airborne jump tower will be open to guests.  Click here for more information.

The Columbus Museum holds Saturday Drop-In Tours every Saturday for  2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

This Sunday will be the last day this summer to go ice skating. The Columbus Ice Rink will close to the public for the months of July and August for routine maintenance. This weekend, the rink is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Have a great weekend!
