News Leader 9 Anchors participate in fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House

Posted: Updated:
(WTVM) -

A few News Leader 9 personalities were at McDonalds today, June 28, not just for lunch but as part of the Round-up for the Ronald McDonald House.

Roslyn Giles, Chuck Leonard and Barbara Gauthier all donned cowboy hats and western gear, and put on their best smiles to ask folks to donate their change to the Ronald McDonald House.

Many people gave, not only their change, but even more to the worthy cause.

Beth Mancini from Ronald McDonald House Charities says, "We do it with the support of our community, with our local celebrities, and we just appreciate all those in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities."

McDonald's restaurants in the area will continue to accept donations throughout the weekend.

Monies raised from this campaign will be used to provide a "Home away from home" for the families of critically ill children in the Columbus area.
