SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The woman who filed a harassment lawsuit against celebrity chef Paula Deen says her suit "has never been about racial slurs."

In a statement, Lisa Jackson, who is white, said her lawsuit is about Deen's "disrespect and degradation of people that she deems to be inferior."

The former manager at Deen's restaurants in Savannah is suing Deen and her brother, Bubba Heirs, for sexual and racial harassment.

Deen has denied Jackson's accusations but has apologized for using the n-word years ago, which first came to light in a deposition in the case.
