MONTGOMERY, AL (WTVM) - The owners of a Montgomery home destroyed in the search for Auburn shooting suspect Desmonte Leonard, have filed a federal lawsuit against the city.
It names the city, two police officers, U.S. Marshal Art Baylor and the Department of Justice.
Authorities ransacked the home on live television in their search for Leonard.
The homeowner is now alleging those authorities took the search too far - destroying the home, then refusing to pay for the damage.
The complaint outlines nine counts and asks for reimbursement of repair costs and legal fees.
