Cancer affects patients and their loved ones in many different aspect of their lives. For many, this includes personal issues such as sexuality.

Lori Moser, Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator at the John B. Amos Cancer Center, says the goal of their new monthly series for cancer patients and their loved ones is to empower them with the tools to deal with their specific needs.

"Of course the main focus is treating cancer," says Moser. "But we can do more than just treat cancer. We want to look at the whole person, and bring that into the picture."

The first session will discuss the affects of cancer on sexuality. Moser says this is a common issue patients bring up as they may experience many side effects from surgery and chemotherapy.
