PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

According to Russell County Authorities, Curtis Newsome, the 28-year-old suspect accused of strangling his girlfriend Caneya Webb, 26, to death will now face two counts of capitol murder because of Webb's pregnancy.

In a previous interview with WTVM, the victim's mother, Latunja Webb Dunham, said Newsome knew her daughter was pregnant at the time of her death.
