Daniel Wright's appearance before judge postponed

Posted: Updated:

Nearly three years after a bloody Labor Day weekend in Columbus, the last of three murder defendants was expected to go on trial Monday. However, the trial has been postponed pending a further psychological evaluation.

The trial has been rescheduled to begin August 26.

Daniel Wright, one of two men accused of killing Brian Brown at his loft apartment on First Ave. in 2010 will appear before Judge Allen on July 15th.

Wright's case was continued back in April pending further mental evaluation by the state. The other two suspects, Cordiary Bell and Gustavious Perry, both pled guilty on July 14th, ending their trial.

Brown's murder was the first of four which took place over a five day period.
