Most of us love to eat, and if we can help out a worthwhile charity at the same time it's icing on the cake, or ketchup on the burger, to use a phrase more befitting of this week's Military Matters.More >>
The Four Winds Restaurant in Cusseta is known for the world-famous Ranger Burger, and it sold a bunch of them recently… enough to raise $1,500 for charity.

The promotion, called Grubbin to Give, put 50 percent of the day's proceeds in the coffers of the Warrior Outreach Program.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WTVM) -

The search is on for the two men who robbed two local businesses overnight.

At around 1 a.m. this morning the adult store Starship was robbed by two armed men wearing black masks.

Just last week this same business was robbed, and police are saying they have reason to believe it is the same two suspects. There is not much of a description, just that they are two males wearing all black.

One has a pistol and the other is armed with a long gun, possibly a rifle, and they got away in a silver vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money.

But the crime didn't stop at Starship.

About an hour later the Circle-K near CSU on Macon Rd. was also robbed at gunpoint, and police think it is also the same two men.

There were two employees inside Starship when the crime occurred, and one clerk inside of the Circle-K when it was robbed. Luckily, no one was hurt.

There is no confirmation that these incidents are related, but what happened today is very similar to what happened at the Lucky Food Mart on Floyd Rd. before that.

If you have any information about these crimes, police can use your help. Please call 706-653-3400.
