BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police said a woman died after crashing into an 18-wheeler Monday evening.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the victim as Jackie Addison, 27, of Denham Springs. The wreck happened at the intersection of Central Thruway and South Choctaw Drive around 6 p.m.

Investigators said the minivan Addison was driving slammed into the tractor trailer as it was making a left turn off Central Thruway onto South Choctaw. They added the driver of the big rig had the green light with a protected green left turn arrow when the accident happened.

Police said the crash is still being investigated, but as of now, they don't expect to file any charges.

The Central Thruway just officially opened to traffic Thursday.
