PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 95-year-old man was killed in a two-car collision caused by a red-light runner at a Phoenix intersection Wednesday morning.

Phoenix police said Morrison Fox was riding in a 2006 Mercedes driven south on 64th Street by 90-year-old Phyllis Fox, who was preparing to turn left onto Camelback Road when it was struck by a 1996 Lexus driven by Jordan Walker.

Walker, 29, was driving with a suspended license and also had warrants out of Mesa for numerous traffic violations, police said.

He was cited for running the red light resulting in Morrison Fox's death and arrested for the outstanding warrants and turned over to Mesa police.

Phyllis Fox suffered minor injuries and was expected to survive, police said.

Neither excessive speed nor impairment factored in the crash, police said.
