Delta Airlines officials say the company will hire 300 pilots starting in November.
This will be the first time the airline hires pilots since 2010.
Pilots who were previously furloughed will have first dibs on the positions, but not all are expected to return.
WSB-TV reports that the Atlanta-based Delta Airlines is expected to add 50 positions through early 2014, and then add 20 more per month through September 2014.
