Three Arizona men are facing charges for operating a business that allegedly sold marijuana under the guise of being a licensed medical marijuana dispensary.

Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson says officers served a search warrant at the business in the area of 12300 N. 32nd St. on Friday after they had learned the operators did not have valid licenses.

Marijuana along with marijuana-laced brownies, muffins and candies were seized during the search. Officers also found weapons.

Kenneth Winans, Hernan Vega and Jeremy Skidmore were arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail for illegally controlling an enterprise and possession of marijuana and narcotic drugs for sale.

Vega and Skidmore also face weapons charges.

Arizona voters approved the use of medicinal marijuana in 2010. The Department of Health Services oversees the program and regulates dispensaries where patients and caregivers can legally buy marijuana.
