Crash knocks out power to 830 homes

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A crash knocked out power to hundreds of residents in south Nashville overnight.

The power outage occurred around 1 a.m. near the corner of 12th Avenue South and Horton Avenue when a driver lost control and crashed into a power pole.

According to the Nashville Electric website, more than 830 homes were without power after the wreck.  Service was restored by 4 a.m.

The driver wasn't seriously hurt.
