MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A fatal crash involving numerous vehicles, including two commercial trucks, has closed three westbound lanes on U.S. Highway 60 at Power Road in Mesa.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman said at least one fatality was confirmed.

A box truck appeared to have crashed into the back of a disabled Waste Management truck carrying a Dumpster about 5:30 a.m. near the Superstition Springs Center.

Three inside lanes and the HOV lanes on westbound U.S. 60 remained open.

No other information was immediately available.
