FORT MITCHELL, AL (WTVM) -

A woman accused of shaking a baby unconscious at an Alabama daycare waived her hearing in a Russell County courtroom Tuesday morning.

Sherae Reich was to be arraigned this morning on charges of child abuse.

In May, she allegedly shook the 10-week old baby until it was unresponsive at a home-based daycare in Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

The baby was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries but was later discharged.

According to authorities Reich was not licensed to run a home-based daycare in Alabama.
