Nashville Zoo ready to cool down with 'Ice Day'

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The humidity is expected to ramp up this weekend, but you can cool off at the Nashville Zoo with the popular Regions Bank Ice Day.

Visitors can sample ice cream, and participate in an ice cream eating contest, and there will also be an inflatable water slide and a make-believe flurry of snow to help your family beat the heat.

And the animals will get to take part as well. Visitors can watch the animals enjoy their own icy treats like frozen grapes, turkey broth pops and chilled worms.
