Friends and volunteers continue their search for a missing family pet after a fatal crash Friday along Interstate 65.

A married couple and their two dogs were on the way to Lake Martin when they were involved in a car crash.

55-year-old David Moody died as a result of the crash as died one of the couple's dogs.

Moody's wife, Tina, is now recovering at a friend's home, but the whereabouts of the other dog, a Dachshund named "Scooter" is not known.

Scooter is 12 to 15 years old, has red hair and a grey nose.  He may possibly have a turquoise collar.

Friends and family members are searching for the dog between the 146 and 147 mile markers on I-65 where the crash took place. That's in Lowndes County near Fort Deposit.

Volunteers are hoping to be able to return a small piece of what The Moody family lost.
