SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

Authorities say one of two suspects wanted for the attempted murder of a Selma resident has turned himself in.

The Selma Police Department says 16-year-old Leon Devon Ellis surrendered to authorities with the help of his attorneys on July 26th. His arrest stems from the shooting of a Selma Resident on July 25th in the 1600 Block of Vickery Street.

Leon Ellis was transported to the Dallas County Jail where he is being held on a $262,000 bond.

Authorities say that are still looking for the second suspect, Nelson Ellis, who police believe may have been fleeing to the Birmingham/Hoover area.
