Valley teen arrested in connection to attempted kidnapping

VALLEY, AL (WTVM) -

Officers of the Valley Police Department have made an arrest in connection with the July 17 attempted kidnapping of a woman on 61st Street in Valley.

Eighteen-year-old Dijon Devonte King of Valley was arrested at the intersection of 20th Avenue and Fob James Drive on a warrant for second degree attempted kidnapping. The victim was able to make a positive identification of King.

King was transported to the Valley Police Department where he was interviewed by investigators. King was then processed and transported to the Chambers County Detention Facility, where he will be held pending a bond hearing.

This case remains under investigation and more charges on King are expected.
