D'IBERVILLE, Miss. (AP) - An Aug. 23 trial date has been set in Mississippi in the misdemeanor DUI case against 3 Doors Down's bassist Todd Harrell.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/13sqauA ) that the misdemeanor trial involves Harrell's July 19, 2012, arrest in D'Iberville, where he is accused of being under the influence of 5 prescription pills when his Cadillac rear-ended a pickup truck at a city intersection.

Municipal Judge Albert Fountain stepped down from the case. Jackson County Justice Court Judge David McVeay will now preside.

The trial will be held in D'Iberville Municipal Court.

The 41-year-old Harrell also has been charged with DUI vehicular homicide in Nashville in April. That case was sent to the grand jury after a court appearance on Tuesday.

Among the hits 3 Doors Down is known for are "When I'm Gone" and "Kryptonite."
