NeighborWorks Columbus introduces 6th cottage recipient

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Neighborworks Columbus isonce again giving a local resident a better place to call home.

82-year-old Mary AliceCooper Jenkins is the 6th recipient of a new home provided by theColumbus Cottage Program.

A demolition ceremony willbe held August 8 at 11 a.m. when her home on 43rd Street will beremoved during the ceremony to make room for her new cottage.

Jenkins says she isexcited for her new home. "Oh, I love it," she says. "I'm so excited, I don'tknow what to do. I love it, and I want to thank each and every one."

Columbus Cottage ProgramChairs Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and Susan Milligan were there to present thenew recipient with her keys this morning, August 1.
