COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A fire in the Columbus Historic District caused $60,000 worth of damage to a home Friday.

Workers tell News Leader 9 they were working on the roof, using a blow torch to melt together tar and shingles when the fire got out of control.
However, investigators say at this time they are labeling the cause as "unknown."
Officials tell us the fire is completely out.
