(WTVM) -

WTVM and the generous people of our communities continue to work together to help people stay cool this summer.

Presidents Motorcycle Club donated 93 fans today to the Valley Rescue Mission as part of the WTVM Fan Club.

Donna Pearce with Valley Rescue Mission says donation means they will be able to help 93 more people who visit their facilities. "Everyday, we're handing out about seven or eight fans on averages," she says.

The fans go to people who either do not have air conditioning, or cannot afford to run their air conditioner and do not have a cooling system.  Pearce says if they can keep at least one room cool, it's a good deterrent to health problems.

Maurice Jordan with the Presidents Motorcycle Club says they were just keeping in mind the present heat wave. "We just decided to purchase nearly one hundred fans to donate to anyone in need," he says.
