Fire breaks out at Tim's Foreign Car Service

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

We have new details in an early morning fire that damaged parts of a Columbus car shop.

According to Columbus Fire Chief Ricky Shores, arsonists were trying to burn down Tim's Foreign Car Service building located on 15th Street.

We're told by the owner of the shop that someone broke into the building, setting two cars on fire.

Two dogs were saved from the blaze, and no injuries have been reported. The fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
