MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -

Today is the first day of school for Muscogee County students!

It's also a prime time for teachers who are beginning their careers in the classroom. They are putting the final touches on their classrooms at the new Aaron Cohn Middle School in Midland.

One first year teacher, who is also a CSU graduate, says this first day of classes is very important to her.

"I am nervous...can't wait to work with these guys," says Latoyta Dudley.

Dudley says she was encouraged by her third grade teacher to do her homework and study hard, and that's what she plans to also do with her new students.
