COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Summer vacation is over and it's back to school for students in Muscogee and Harris counties.
Classes started Wednesday morning, and for the next nine months some serious learning will take place.
Students at Aaron Cohn Middle School in Midland were welcomed by administrators when they got off the bus this morning.
The school is Muscogee County's newest, and even Principal Richard Green has the jitters.
"As I was telling somebody the other day, we only get one chance to do a very first day, so we're very excited, anxious, nervous," said Principal Richard Green. "There's a whole lot of things that are going through my mind and everyone's minds today. We really want the day to go well."
