OK mother fights for custody of daughter living with sex offender

(WTVM) -

An Oklahoma mother is fighting to get her daughter back after a judge sent her to live with her father, a convicted sex offender.

The community held a car wash to raise money for the court battle. They are working to get the six-year-old daughter back living with her mom after an Oklahoma judge recently sent her to live with her father.

The father, Nicholas Elizondo, says he was wrongly convicted of raping her other daughter in California six years ago.

Now, the mother is limited to visits on Skype for 30 minutes every Sunday.

When Elizondo got out of jail, he fought for sole custody of his other daughter and won. The mother believes the judge ruled the way he did because she could not name her daughter's doctor off the top of her head.
