WTVM 8/13/13 Editorial: Kendrick High School receives national award for excellence

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Congratulations to Kendrick High School in Columbus, recipients of a national award for excellence, the only high school in the entire state of Georgia to be so honored!

Kendrick is lighting the way for all other area high schools by showing how a true partnership among teachers, administrators, parents and students can spell success.

Kendrick was honored as a "High School That Works," a national program challenging students to achieve specific scholastic goals.

We salute Kendrick and urge other schools in our area  in both Georgia and Alabama to push harder to prepare students to graduate and pursue even higher education.

Setting goals and reaching them gives students a true sense of accomplishment.

Kendrick proves it's possible!
