A special change of command ceremony was held Wednesday in Fort Benning's Freedom Hall as the 14th Combat Support Hospital welcomes a new female commander.

Colonel Paula Lodi takes command of the unit from Colonel William Drennon. She is a veteran of three tours in Iraq and recently completed an assignment at the Pentagon.

We spoke to Colonel Lodi about the future of the Combat Support Hospital Unit.

"The Army has a future strategy that calls for expeditionary forces and the medical aspect of those missions, I see continuing in the future," said Colonel Lodi.

Colonel Lodi is a Rutgers University graduate where she was a commissioned second lieutenant with the Medical Service Corps. She is also a graduate of Troy State University.
