Tribute artists honor Elvis in Memphis

(WMC-TV) - One of the main attractions during Elvis Week is the performances from Elvis tribute artists who come from around the world.

Any restaurant patron who looks around inside Hard Rock Cafe will find dozens of Elvis tribute artists.

Some visit from Japan, Canada, and England, but they all have one things in common – competing in the blue suede shoes competition.

"Elvis had everything and that's why people like myself, and others want to copy him," said Ben Portsmouth from England.

Portsmouth won last year.

This final round of the competition will be held Friday at 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.
