(WTVM) - GM is recalling nearly 300,000 Chevrolet Cruze cars from the 2011 and 2012 model years. The brake assist system has some known problems. The brake assist system may fail, causing drivers to apply extra pressure on their brakes to stop the car.
GM spokesman Alan Adler says in an email, "GM is aware of 27 alleged low-speed crashes but no injuries related to brake performance, which could include this issue."
Drivers should take their car to a dealership so they can fix the problem.
