MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Lightning sparked two wildfires in Arizona this week and is being fueled by dry brush and grass as temperatures remain between 105 and 110 degrees.

The fires are burning near Four Peaks wilderness area, in the Tonto National Forest.

The Cain Fire grew late Thursday evening and by Friday afternoon, forest officials reported two to 5-foot flames. Smoke is visible to residents in East Valley, Tonto Basin and Roosevelt. The wildfire that has spread to about 37 acres is 28 miles northeast of Mesa.

The other fire is called the Reno Fire. Fire officials said that blaze is under control. It has charred about eight acres.
