Pine Mountain teenager shot, authorities searching for suspect

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -

On August 17, 2013, at approximately 1:25 a.m., LaGrange Police responded to the 100 Block of Union Street in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers determined that a teenager from Pine Mountain, Ga. had been shot once in the leg.

The incident took place at the 100 block of Union Street in LaGrange, Ga.

The victim stated that he was in the park when he heard multiple gunshots nearby. He attempted to flee from the area and realized that he had been shot in the leg. He was unable to provide a description of his assailant(s).

The victim was transported to the Columbus Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
