YARNELL, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

A lightning-caused wildfire that erupted Saturday five miles east of the town of Yarnell is 75 percent contained and officials expect it will be fully contained by Friday night.

It is burning in brush and low trees in very rugged terrain with no road access for firefighters, the officials said. Helicopters are dropping water and transporting crews.

The area is still trying to recover from the Yarnell Hill Fire that claimed the lives of 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots, burned more than 100 homes and scorched 8,400 acres.

The French Gulch Fire grew from 100 to 400 acres between 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday, and another 215 acres by 6 p.m. Monday, fire officials said. The fire was at 836 acres by Thursday.

It started about 7:45 p.m. Saturday and is one of 13 fires listed as active in Arizona.

There are 160 personnel assigned to the fire.

Fire officials were still trying to determine the best way to get firefighters to the front lines of the fire.

One structure at a nearby ranch was the only building threatened, officials said.
