(WTVM) - Police in metro-Atlanta are questioning Todd Christopher Grigg, 31, because authorities say he was carrying a BB gun that resembled a semi-automatic handgun, three knives, and leather gloves near a school in Canton, Ga.
Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies directing traffic say they saw him standing on the Cherokee Charter Academy's property. Authorities claim he initially ran from the scene.
Grigg was charged with four counts of possession of a weapon on school grounds, carrying a concealed knife and obstruction of an officer.
He claims he was just waiting for a ride, and some of his family members attend the charter school.
He is being held without bond.
This comes just a few days after a gunman fired bullets inside of McNair Learning Academy, located in Decatur, Ga.
