Is Georgia the most expensive state to own a car?

If you're a Georgia resident who's constantly complaining about your gas or car insurance bill, there may be a reason why. According to Bankrate, Georgia is the most expensive state in the country to own a car!

Georgia drivers pay an average of $4,233 annually and has an above-average cost for repairs, taxes and fees, gasoline, and insurance, according to the website. 

It states that on average, Georgia drivers pay $385 for repairs, $1,952 in taxes and fees, $1,129 for gas, and $767 for insurance. 

Here are the top five most expensive states to own a car:

1. Georgia

2. California

3. Wyoming

4. Rhode Island

5. Nevada
