CrimeStoppers looking for suspect in carwash burglary

Montgomery Police and CrimeStoppers are looking for two male suspects who walked onto the property of Wash Me Fast Carwash at 2395 East South Boulevard where they left behind a dirty mess.

The men were armed with bolt cutters and pry bars when they hit the business on August 12 around 4 a.m.  Video shows the suspects using the tools to break into the outside equipment used for carwash payments.

The manager said the majority of payments are used by credit or debit cards and that the damage caused by the suspects outweighed the amount of cash taken a hundred fold.

The suspects can be seen, by video, hiding from passing cars on the Boulevard and then would start back once it was clear.

The Montgomery Police Department while on regular patrol spotted the suspects and began a foot pursuit.

The Police captured one suspect and he was later identified as Lakwajame Richards.  The suspect in the green is still at large.

The Police would like assistance from the public to identify the suspect at large.

He will be charged with Theft of Property 1st degree and Criminal Mischief 1st degree.

If you know the whereabouts of this subject or if you can identify him, please call police immediately or CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP! Your tip may lead to a cash reward!
