MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The family of a 3-year-old who died in the care of her nurse has filed a lawsuit in connection with her death.

Three-year-old Kayla Andrews' family filed suit against Kayla's nursing home and caregiver Demequa Bonds.

Bonds has been charged with reckless homicide.

The 34-year-old was Kayla's in-home nurse, when Kayla died

The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday, the same day Memphis Child Advocacy Center raised their Children's Memorial Flag for Kayla.
