COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - 18-year-old Dijon King of Valley is no stranger to crime.
Saturday, King was arrested at his home and charged burglary, rape and sodomy, all in the first degree after assaulting a 51-year-old woman in March.
Last week, the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences identified King as the DNA match to evidence recovered from the woman following the sexual assault.
Viewers may recognize King's photo, after he also made headlines earlier this summer.
In July, WTVM brought you an exclusive interview with Cori Cook, one of two victims approached by King riding a bike while armed with a gun.
King pointed the gun at Cook and demanded she get in her car before he was scared off by a neighbor.
Later that month, King was caught and charged with attempted kidnapping and robbery.
"Never mind that my eight-year-old is terrified now, he doesn't even want to walk the dog. Never mind the fact that he had a gun in my face, but he just made life more hectic," says Cook.
King is currently being held at the Chambers County Detention Facility without bond.
His bond hearing is pending.
