Escalator fire breaks out at Atlanta airport, 2 injured

ATLANTA, GA (WTVM) -

A spokeswoman says two firefighters have sustained minor injuries after responding to an escalator fire at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. in Concourse T this morning, September 3.

Atlanta Fire Department officials say the two firefighters fell while working to put out the fire, but refused treatment.
