MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Police Department now has three suspects in custody in connection with the August 28 shooting of two people on Althea Street.

Investigators say 18-year-old Aryel McWhorter and 17-year-old Karli Paul were taken into custody on September 3 and charged with one count each of second degree assault as well as attempted murder and three counts of first degree burglary.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a third suspect on August 30. Telvin Stone, 21, now faces one count of second degree assault, attempted murder, first degree burglary and three counts of first degree robbery.

The investigation started following the overnight shooting of two adults on Althea Street around 12:30 a.m. that Wednesday.

The victims, not identified, were transported to area hospitals in life-threatening and serious conditions. No updates have been given on their conditions.
