Hey, this is Jason Dennis in the WTVM newsroom! Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6...

The U.S. may have found a way to avoid military action against Syria, with talk of the small nation turning over its chemical weapons to Russia. We have more on the decision and what to expect with President Obama's address to the nation tonight. We also sat down today with a local political expert to find out how invading Syria could impact us in the Chattahoochee Valley.

The recommendation of a new assistant superintendent for the Muscogee County school district has many questioning if the process was fair. Tonight, we investigate Superintendent David Lewis' reason behind the decision.

A new study shows military couples who married before September 11th, 2001 were more likely to divorce years later. Stay tuned as we break down the numbers and hear from an expert about why these couples may be calling it quits.
